Subject: March 2024 as Greek-American Heritage Month
 
In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution designating March 2024 as "Greek-American Heritage Month" in Pennsylvania.
 
March is an important month for people of Greek heritage, as "Greek Independence Day" is a national holiday that commemorates the start of the Greek War of Independence in 1821 and is celebrated annually in Greece on March 25.
 
According to the 2020 census, more than 1.3 million Americans identify as having Greek ancestry.
 
Greek-Americans play a constructive role in the economic and cultural development of our nation and PA.

I hope you join me in co-sponsoring this resolution.
