Subject: | National Teen Driver Safety Week - October 18-24, 2020 |
National Teen Driver Safety Week (NTDSW) is a federally designated time each year to raise awareness of teen driver safety topics and to seek solutions to unnecessary teen deaths on the road. It occurs this year from October 18 through October 24, 2020. Let us come together and focus our attention once again on this serious issue. Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for adolescents and young adults in the United States, and many of these deaths are preventable. Crashes and deaths occur because of any or all of the following:
Through this resolution we can recognize “National Teen Driver Safety Week” and encourage the people of Pennsylvania to engage and empower licensed teen drivers in the Commonwealth to become safe skilled drivers. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution. |
