Subject: | Designating May 8, 2020, as “Explore York County Tourism Day” in Pennsylvania |
The York County Tourism industry employs more than 8,000 people. In 2017, visitors spent more than $1 billion in the county, helping to boost its local economy. York County is known as the factory tour capital of the world, offering 20 factory tours year-round. It is also known as the snack food capital of the world, with several snack food manufacturers, including Utz Quality Foods and Martin’s Potato chips, operating in the county. In addition, York County’s Mason-Dixon Wine Trail was named “One of the Best Wine Regions You’ve Never Heard Of” by Budget Travel Online. With minor league baseball, great state parks, and other recreational opportunities, York County has something to offer everyone. I invite everyone to Explore York County! Please join me in supporting “Explore York County Tourism Day” in Pennsylvania. |
