Subject: | National Apprenticeship Week |
In the near future, I will introduce a resolution designating the week of November 11-17 as “National Apprenticeship Week” in Pennsylvania. National Apprenticeship Week is a nationwide campaign to promote the importance of apprenticeship programs in the education, development, training, and employability of thousands of Americans, in fields such as: carpentry, engineering, and manufacturing. The Commonwealth continues to be at the forefront in many aspects of apprenticeship programs. IN Fiscal Year 2018 alone, Pennsylvania welcomed 4,524 new apprentices, totaling 16,880 active apprentices in 777 active programs. Please join me in recognizing these accomplishments of our apprentices by cosponsoring this legislation. |
