Subject: | Sunday Music and Motion Picture Repealers |
Our Commonwealth has thousands of regulations on the books. Many of these acts were enacted several decades ago and are simply archaic and are no longer applicable in the 21st century. In addition, the existence of these outdated laws contributes to the already complex and confusing nature of government. To help clean up our laws, I plan to introduce two pieces of legislation that will repeal the following antiquated acts:
|
Introduced as HB1179
Description: | Act 308 of 1933 which regulates the playing of music on Sundays and payments for performances on Sundays.

Introduced as HB1180
Description: | Act 211 of 1935 which regulates motion picture exhibitions on Sundays
