Subject: National Osteopathic Medicine Week in PA, April 14 - 20, 2019
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution designating the week of April 14-20, 2019 as “National Osteopathic Medicine week” in Pennsylvania.

As some background, there are currently 145,343 osteopathic physicians (DOs) in the United States, and Pennsylvania is the nation’s leader in osteopathic medicine with over 8,500 licensed DOs in the Commonwealth. I will be introducing a resolution to recognize Pennsylvania’s DOs and their dedication to improving the health of their community.

I hope you consider joining me in support of this resolution to urge all citizens and community organizations to support this observance by helping to educate residents about osteopathic medicine.
