Subject: Protecting Workers from Discrimination and Harassment
 
Imagine going to work every day knowing that you will be harassed. Maybe that means being subjected to degrading comments about your appearance or inappropriate physical contact. Then imagine finding out that you’re not protected from this abuse.

This is the reality for many of our friends and family that work as domestic workers, independent contractors, or employees of small businesses. Pennsylvania law specifically excludes these workers from receiving protection against discrimination and harassment. My legislation would fix the outdated provisions of this law by ensuring that all employees have the same workplace protections, regardless of the size of their employer or the type of work they perform.

Not only do all Pennsylvanians deserve to feel safe at work, but they deserve equal protection under the law. Please help me provide our friends and family with both by supporting this legislation.
