Subject: Resolution encouraging participation in C.O.P.S. Project Blue Light
 
I will introduce a resolution encouraging all Pennsylvanian’s to participate in C.O.P.S. Project Blue Light.

Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S) adopted an idea which was begun by the family of a Philadelphia police officer killed in the line of duty to place a blue light in a window of their home to honor the service of all police officers and remember those officers who have died protecting their communities.

The holiday season is particularly dangerous time for police officers. C.O.P.S. Project Blue Light encourages all citizens to place a blue light in their window during the holiday season starting from Thanksgiving eve until January 15.
