Subject: | Removal of Certain Recurring Projects from the Legislative Budget & Finance Committee |
Next week I intend to introduce legislation that would eliminate certain recurring projects from the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (LBFC) to allow personnel to work on new studies. After meetings with the other LBFC officers there is a consensus to end work on the following recurring projects. * Performance Audit of PennDOT which is done every 6 years at a cost of $500,000 * A cost benefits study of mental health insurance coverage that is required by Act 198-150 that is done every 2 years at a cost of $100,000 * A study of the impact of slots on the State Lottery which is to be done annually at a cost of $500 Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation. |
