Subject: | Resolution: St. David's Day (3/1/15) |
In the near future, I will be introducing a Resolution declaring March 1, 2015 as “Saint David’s Day” in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. During the 19th century, large numbers of people came from Wales and settled in Pennsylvania seeking employment in every field of industry and commerce. To celebrate the proud heritage of the Welsh, March 1st is traditionally observed as “Saint David’s Day” to mark the life of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales. If you have any questions regarding this legislation, please contact Margaret Tricarico at mtricari@pahouse.net or 717-772-5568 (Democratic Caucus Ext. 6168). Thank you.
