Subject: | Condolence Resolution for Bishop McFadden |
As a long-time personal friend of Bishop Joseph P. McFadden for over 40 years, I was saddened by the news of his passing. Bishop McFadden was a strong spiritual leader for the catholic faithful in Diocese of Harrisburg. I know many of us greatly enjoyed his service as Honorary House Chaplain every St. Patrick’s Day. Bishop McFadden had lived his entire life in Pennsylvania. He was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from St. Charles’ Borromeo Seminary. He was the first President of Cardinal O’Hara High School in Springfield and also served as an Auxiliary Bishop in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia before his appointment to Bishop of Harrisburg by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010. Please join me in cosponsoring this Condolence Resolution. |
