Subject: Co-sponsor: National Day of Prayer - Rep. Caltagirone
 
Once again this year, I will be offering my Rule 35 resolution for the House's recognition of May 2, 2013 as the National Day of Prayer in Pennsylvania. This day is set aside to pray for our nation, and is held on the first Thursday of May. This annual event was not created for political reasons, but exists to encourage all citizens to pray for our leaders, communities, families, and each other, and for national healing, reconciliation and unity. It is completely nonsectarian.

This resolution has always been a noncontroversial Rule 35 resolution. The pdf attached is of the 2011 version, and will vary this time strictly in terms of the actual date, which is May 2 this year.
