Subject: | Recognizing April 15-21, 2024 as National Osteopathic Medicine Week in Pennsylvania |
In the near future, I will introduce a resolution to make April 15-21, 2024, National Osteopathic Medicine Week in Pennsylvania. My resolution aims to celebrate the osteopathic physicians (DOs) for their contributions to improving the health of their communities throughout the Commonwealth. DOs practice in every medical field and specialty, combining medical expertise with a whole-person approach centered on listening to and partnering with their patients. Pennsylvania ranks 3rd in the country based on the number of practicing DOs (more than 11,000), including 62% who are under the age of 45. Pennsylvania is also privileged to host three great colleges of Osteopathic Medicine that educate and train future physicians, creating access to medical care throughout the Commonwealth. Please join me in supporting this resolution. |
