Subject: Data Privacy Week
 
With so much of our lives happening online, it is important to know how to keep your personal online information safe and secure. Personal information is collected from internet users daily, and the companies that collect this information can store it indefinitely.
 
This year, the National Cybersecurity Alliance has declared January 21 through 27, 2024 to be Data Privacy Week to recognize the importance of digital privacy. Our resolution would recognize Data Privacy Week in Pennsylvania to spread awareness about how Pennsylvanians can protect their data. Additionally, recognizing Data Privacy Week underscores the fact that companies should also recognize the importance of respecting and protecting their users’ data.
 
Join us in acknowledging the importance of data privacy in Pennsylvania by co-sponsoring this resolution to recognize Data Privacy Week in Pennsylvania.
