Subject: Protected Pedestrian Plazas and Pedalcycle Lanes
 
This bill was previously introduced as House Bill 140 of the 2021-2022 Session where it passed the House unanimously.  This may be referred to as Susan’s and Emily’s law.

Under current law, a vehicle shall park along a roadway within 12 inches of the curb.  The Vehicle Code does not provide an allowance for parking next to bike lanes.

The Pedalcycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee and the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia supports this bill.
