Subject: Waterfront Redevelopment Grant Program
 
Pennsylvania has no shortage of amazing waterfront property.  From the famous Three Rivers, to the shores of Lake Erie, to the banks of the Susquehanna, Schuylkill, and Delaware Rivers, Pennsylvania has beautiful waterfront landscapes that are full of opportunity.
 
My legislation will create the Waterfront Redevelopment Grant Program to promote economic development in underdeveloped waterfront areas.  This program will be designed to protect and revitalize waterfronts across Pennsylvania, create new jobs and stimulate private investment.  Through thoughtful and targeted expenditures, we can increase property values and protect and enhance the health and well-being of the environment.
 
The ability to provide purpose to underdeveloped property while promoting economic development and environmental health would be a win for Pennsylvania on various levels.  Please join me in providing a solution to both economic needs and environmental needs by co-sponsoring this bill.
