Subject: Studded Tires - Extending the Date of Use
 
In the near future, I will be introducing legislation extending the window for the use of studded tires or ice grips, from an end date of April 15th to May 1st. Depending on the year and weather patterns, the Commonwealth occasionally experiences winter conditions on roadways well into the month of April, especially in our more northern and western counties. Extending the end date to May for studded tires or ice grips will ensure the safety of motorists who choose to employ this option on their vehicles.
