Subject: | Resolution Recognizing the 100th Anniversary of Croydon Fire Company Number 1 |
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing the 100th anniversary of Croydon Fire Company Number 1 in Bristol Township, Bucks County. The volunteers of the Croydon Fire Company have been serving the Croydon section of Bristol Township, Bucks County, since the company’s founding in 1918. It was originally called the Croydon Improvement Association, but the name was changed in 1924 after the company received its official charter to become a volunteer fire company. Today, volunteer fire companies throughout the Commonwealth struggle to attract funding and volunteers. As such, I believe it is more important than ever that we acknowledge and honor the bravery and sacrifice of volunteer firefighters throughout the Commonwealth, including members of the Croydon Fire Company. To that end, please join me in sponsoring this resolution recognizing the 100th anniversary of Croydon Fire Company Number 1. |
