Subject: | Reintroduction of Bonus Ban Legislation |
Again this session, I will be introducing legislation that will ban bonuses given to staff, outside of an established public payroll system. This bill would apply to all branches of state government. Actions such as the giving of excessive bonuses have eroded the public’s trust in our state government. The Republican Caucus in the State Senate has led the charge by banning such bonuses, but this legislation would ensure a permanent end to this practice. Co-sponsors of the legislation (SB 138) in the 2013-2014 session were: TOMLINSON, TEPLITZ, ROBBINS, MENSCH, WARD, GREENLEAF, KASUNIC, VULAKOVICH, RAFFERTY, VOGEL, BREWSTER, ALLOWAY, BROWNE, SMUCKER, FOLMER, HUTCHINSON AND SCARNATI. Please join me in sponsoring this measure to reform Pennsylvania’s government. |
