Subject: | Resolution to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the Workers’ Compensation Act in Pennsylvania. |
In the near future, I will introduce a resolution to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the Workers’ Compensation Act in Pennsylvania. Enacted June 1, 1915, the Workers’ Compensation Act created a system that provides workers indemnity and medical benefits following a work-related injury or disease. In addition to minimizing risk and providing predictability for job creators, the Act has helped sustain a world-class and globally competitive workforce that continues to thrive in all economic sectors. With more than six million Pennsylvanian workers employed across various industry sectors, it is imperative that we continue to support the workers’ compensation system in the Commonwealth, helping to create safe, efficient workplace environments. Please join me in cosponsoring this resolution. |
