Subject: | Notifying Elected Officials of Liquor License Applications (Formerly HB 2473) |
In the near future I plan to re-introduce legislation (former HB 2473) that would require the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) to notify state and local elected officials of new or altered liquor license applications within his or her district. Specifically, the bill would require the PLCB to send a notification of a new or altered license application in writing, via a certified letter, no later than 15 days after they receive an application. State and local elected officials would include, but not limited to, state representatives, state senators, county commissioners, and city councilmen. In an ever-changing world, I believe it is important for state and local elected officials to be apprised of modifications throughout his or her region, particularly as it relates to licensed establishments under the state’s Liquor Code. I hope you will join me in cosponsoring this legislation. Thank you in advance for your consideration. |
