MEMORANDUM

Posted: December 23, 2014 10:38 AM
From: Representative Margo L. Davidson
To: All House members
Subject: Resolution Recognizing Saturday 4/11/2015 - Sunday 04/19/2015 as "Eat for Peace Week" in Pennsylvania

In the near future, I will re-introduce a resolution recognizing April 11-19, 2015 as “Eat for Peace Week” in Pennsylvania.
As many of you may remember from my initial introduction of this resolution in 2011 and re-introduction the past three years, the “Eat for Peace” concept evolved from the unique experiences of Mr. Anthony Lucidonio, Jr., a resident of the Philadelphia area. Specifically, it was during Mr. Lucidonio’s time in the country of Bahrain that he observed firsthand the phenomenon of healthy and positive relationships being forged between the multinational patrons who dined at his restaurant, Tony Luke’s.
Once again, following the lead of Mr. Lucidonio’s exportation of this much needed concept to our Commonwealth, it is paramount that we as legislators continue in the fashion of promoting cooperation, understanding, and tolerance between those of differing ethnicities, cultures, and religions. As such, it is with great honor that I recognize the week of April 11 to April 19, 2015, as “Eat for Peace Week” in Pennsylvania. By continuing to recognize and embrace such a concept, we as human beings can say with the deepest of convictions that we have done our due diligence in making Pennsylvania, if not the world, a much better place to live
