Subject: Proposed Legislation: Resolution recognizing October 7, 2013 as "Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day"
 
In the near future, I will be introducing a Resolution recognizing October 7, 2013 as "Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day."

Trigeminal Neuralgia is characterized by episodes of intense pain in the face. The excruciating pain has been called "the suicide disease" This condition affects 1 in 20,000 people and those numbers may be even higher due to misdiagnosis. Women are more likely then men to be affected.

Your support of this Resolution would be greatly appreciated in an effort to increase public awareness. Thank you for your consideration.
