Subject: John Smith Day Resolution
 

In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution designating June 21, 2013 as John Smith Day. The idea for this legislation came about after speaking with a group of elementary students. They thought it was important to acknowledge John Smith’s historical contribution with the settlement at Jamestown.
