An Act amending the act of October 20, 1966 (3rd Sp.Sess., P.L.96, No.6), known as the Mental Health and Mental Retardation Act of 1966, providing for a model program that maximizes utilization and expansion of services available at State mental retardation centers with those of public and private community service providers, enabling transition to higher levels of independent employment and residential placements for individual Pennsylvanians disabled by retarding developmental disorders; preserving State mental retardation centers' extended care and treatment capability for those with most severely incapacitating disabilities and assuring the primary decision-making role of each such individual and his family; and making an appropriation.
