Subject: Voter Outreach Transparency
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that would require the executive branch to provide transparency into their voter outreach practices.

               With any voter outreach campaign, it is crucial that the government acts in a nonpartisan manner. There are strict guardrails that ensure that government agencies cannot use their office for any sort of political purpose. For these guardrails to be effective, oversight and transparency are absolutely necessary. This legislation would provide transparency into Department of State outreach efforts by requiring records of voter outreach interactions be kept and a report be provided to members of the State Government Committee in both House and Senate.

                Please join me in co-sponsoring this important legislation which would improve transparency and ensure public trust in State conducted voter outreach.
