Subject: | Emergency Epinephrine Auto-Injectors for Public Sector Entities |
In the near future, I plan to re-introduce legislation titled the Food Allergy Emergency Administration Standards Act which was SB 896 during the 2013-2014 legislative session. This legislation allows public sector entities to stock epinephrine auto-injectors, for use in emergency situations. It requires the Department of Health to adopt regulations for the approval of training programs relating to the possession and administration of epinephrine in emergency situations. The legislation authorizes certain individuals to obtain a prescription for, purchase and administer epinephrine during emergency situations. Previous co-sponsors include Teplitz, Vulakovich, Washington, Rafferty, Costa, Browne, Solobay, Tartaglione, Ferlo and Blake. Please join me in co-sponsoring this important piece of legislation. If you have questions regarding this legislation please contact my office at 717-787-5839. |
Introduced as SB710
