Subject: Resolution Designating April 2014 as Hemophilia Awareness Month
 
I plan to introduce a resolution designating the month of April 2014 as "Hemophilia Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.

Hemophilia is a genetic disorder that impairs the body's ability to control bleeding. More than 20,000 individuals live with this disorder, including about 2,700 in Pennsylvania. There is currently no cure for hemophilia, and patients must endure lifelong treatment.
