Subject: | Cost Savings by Consolidating School District Health Care Plans |
In the near future I will be introducing a resolution requiring the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to conduct a study to detail and measure the potential cost-savings to Pennsylvania taxpayers of consolidating individual school district’s health care plans into regional or statewide insurance plans. The study will look at current overall health care costs to taxpayers by the 500 public school districts in the Commonwealth. Furthermore, the study will examine, through relevant parties and groups, the potential cost-savings through combining health plans. Please contact Jon Hopcraft of my office at 787-2637 or at jhopcraft@pasen.gov with any questions. |
