From: Senator John H. Eichelberger, Jr.
To: All Senate members
Subject: Eichelberger-Supermajority for Tax Increases

I plan to re-introduce a Joint Resolution which proposes an amendment to the Pennsylvania Constitution requiring a two-thirds (2/3) vote in each house of the General Assembly before approval of any legislation to either increase the rate of existing taxes or licensing fees, or to impose a new tax or license fee.

The legislation was SB 701 of last session, and was co-sponsored by: FOLMER, VOGEL, D. WHITE, RAFFERTY, PIPPY AND WAUGH.

Introduced as SB306
