Subject: | Resolution Recognizing October 11, 2018 as “Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome (AMPS) Awareness Day” in Pennsylvania |
In the near future I will be introducing a resolution designating October 11, 2018 as “Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome (AMPS) Awareness Day” in Pennsylvania. AMPS is a very painful medical condition that can cause pain anywhere in the body. The episodes of pain can be intermittent or constant, and can affect the whole body or be localized to one area of the body. In children the degree of pain is even more intense. Of those children diagnosed with AMPS, 80% are pre-adolescent girls. The goal of this resolution is to increase the rate of successful treatment of AMPS by raising awareness and educating the public about the symptoms of this disease. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution. Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you. |
