Subject: Condolence Resolution Honoring Sgt Mark Baserman
 
I am introducing a resolution honoring the service and memory of Sergeant Mark J. Baserman. Sergeant Baserman was a corrections officer who lost his life on February 26, 2018 in the line of duty at SCI-Somerset at the age of 64. He was the first fallen corrections officer in 47 years. This resolution will recognize Sergeant Baserman’s public service as an employee of the Department of Corrections, his volunteer service, and his family who grieves his death, and the tragic loss of his life.
