MEMORANDUM

Posted: March 3, 2016 01:25 PM
From: Representative Tim Briggs
To: All House members
Subject: Recognizing March 2016 as "National Athletic Training Month" in Pennsylvania

In the near future, I plan on introducing a resolution designating March 2016 as "National Athletic Training Month" in Pennsylvania.

Licensed Athletic Trainers are highly trained and educated, treating a wide range of patients including professional, college, secondary school and youth athletes, dancers, musicians and military personnel. Furthermore, their expertise includes providing preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.

Accordingly, leading organizations, such as the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, have joined together to raise public awareness of athletic training and to emphasize the importance of quality health care for athletes and persons engaged in physical activity. The National Athletic Trainers’ Association represents more than 43,000 athletic trainers who have a long history of providing quality health care for athletes and persons engaged in physical activity.

Please consider joining me in recognizing these important health care professionals.

Introduced as HR762
