Session of 2015 - 2016 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: October 30, 2015 10:12 AM
From: Representative Tina Pickett
To: All House members
Subject: Designating December 11, 2015 as "Morgan Craft Day" in Pennsylvania

In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution to that designates December 11, 2015 as "Morgan Craft Day" in Pennsylvania.

Morgan Craft, a resident of Sullivan County as well as a national and international champion in Women’s Skeet, recently earned a spot on the United States Olympic team for the XXXI Olympiad to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil during the summer of 2016.

After becoming world champion of the women’s individual event at the 2105 International Shooting Sport Federation World Championships, Morgan competed with two other teammates from the United States, won the team gold medal and equaled the world record of 215 targets in Women’s Skeet. This accomplishment allowed Morgan to claim one of two available spots on the United States Olympic team.

Morgan was born in Williamsport on May 11, 1993 and raised in Muncy Valley, Sullivan County. She graduated from Sullivan County High School where she was a member of the shotgun sports team and 4H shooting sports program.

This resolution is being offered in recognition of Morgan’s success both nationally and internationally in the sport of Women’s Skeet as well wishing her continued success at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Please consider joining me in sponsoring this resolution to congratulate an exceptional young athlete from Pennsylvania.
