Subject: | Resolution: Designating October 14, 2015 as "Job Corps Day" in Pennsylvania |
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution that will designate October 14, 2015, as “Job Corps Day” in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Job Corps is the nation’s largest career technical training and education program for students ages 16 through 24 who qualify as low income. It is a U.S. Department of Labor program, established in 1964, that provides 60,000 students per year with hands-on training in America’s fastest growing careers, all with no cost to the student. The four Pennsylvania Job Corps are located at: Keystone 235 W.
