To: All House members
Subject: Resolution: Honoring A+ Schools on Ten Years of Advocacy

In the near future, the Allegheny County Delegation and I, plan to introduce a resolution that will honor the A+ Schools organization on ten years of education advocacy in the Pittsburgh area.

Since 2004, A+ Schools has served as a community force advancing the highest educational achievement for every student within the Pittsburgh Public School system. A+ Schools provides oversight, ensuring accountability. Additionally, A+ Schools strives to mobilize the community, including students, parents, the general public, school administrators, teachers, and public officials through their School Works, TeenBloc, and Parent Nation programs. As an independent advocate for continuous improvement in public education, A+ Schools serves as a resource for facts, evidence, best practices, and research, with their sole focus being equitable outcomes for all students. A+ Schools inspires community action by utilizing the data they generate through their work to create political pressure that influences policy and creates change, ultimately improving our schools.

Please join us in honoring A+ Schools for their commitment and dedication to the Pittsburgh Public School system by co-sponsoring this resolution.
