Subject: Capital Budget - Equine Toxicology Laboratory
 

In the near future I intend to introduce legislation amending the Capital Budget so that it may provide appropriate language for funds for the Pennsylvania Equine Toxicology and Research Laboratory (PETRL) on the New Bolton Campus of The University of Pennsylvania.

In Capital Budget 2013-2014, the language restricted the funds for the PETRL to the construction of a new building. However, the dollars allotted for this task would be insufficient and could be better spent to retrofit an existing building on the campus. The change is simply to adjust the language to better allocate the funds for this project.
