Subject: | Red Nose Day - May 25 |
In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution recognizing May 25, 2017 as “Red Nose Day,” an initiative of the Walgreens Boots Alliance. Red Nose Day began 25 years ago as a way to provide essential services to children in impoverished communities all around the world. Red Nose Day has had a positive impact on children living in poverty through the distribution of food, clothing, shelter and medical care. Through this program, children in developing countries are provided with tuition, supplies, and textbooks in order to enhance their access to education. Support is given in all 50 states and throughout the global community to help nurture underprivileged youth. Last year 2,659,642 children’s lives were positively impacted by the Red Nose Day initiative. Please join me in signing on to this resolution recognizing Red Nose Day in Pennsylvania. If you have any questions regarding this resolution, please contact Noah K. Karn at (717)-783-8464 or nkarn@pasen.gov. |
