Subject: Resolution Recognizing the American Bar Association Division for Public Education
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing the American Bar Association Division for Public Education.

The ABA Division for Public Education recognizes that law provides an essential context for understanding society, institutions, norms, and values.

Lawyers and judges have a special responsibility to foster public understanding of and confidence in the law and legal institutions. The ABA Division for Public Education serves ABA members and non-member lawyers by encouraging every lawyer to consider it part of his or her fundamental professional responsibility to further the public’s understanding of the rule of law and the American system of justice.

I hope you join me in co-sponsoring this resolution to recognize the work of the ABA Division for Public Education.
