Senate of Pennsylvania
Session of 2013 - 2014 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: December 27, 2012 10:32 AM
From: Senator John H. Eichelberger, Jr.
To: All Senate members
Subject: Eichelberger-Ban on Bonuses

Again this session, I will be introducing legislation that will ban bonuses given to staff, outside of an established public payroll system. This bill would apply to all branches of state government. Actions such as the giving of excessive bonuses have eroded the public’s trust in our state government. This legislation would ensure a permanent end to this practice.

Co-sponsors of the legislation (SB 103) in the 2011-2012 session were:

SCARNATI, ROBBINS, BROWNE, ORIE, VOGEL, FOLMER, PICCOLA, SMUCKER, RAFFERTY, D. WHITE, TOMLINSON, KASUNIC, BAKER, M. WHITE, WARD, PIPPY, BOSCOLA, BRUBAKER, WAUGH, MENSCH, BREWSTER, EARLL, GREENLEAF AND PILEGGI

Introduced as SB138
