Subject: 200th Anniversary of the founding of Jim Thorpe (Mauch Chunk)
 
In the next few days I will introduce a resolution commemorating the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Borough of Jim Thorpe, formerly known as Mauch Chunk.
Mauch Chunk played an important part in the economy of Pennsylvania, shaping the course of the Industrial Revolution by contributing to innovation in transportation, manufacturing and the use of natural resources.
Today 'Switzerland of America' has consistently been ranked on national 'best' lists as one of the most fun, most beautiful, most romantic and best adventure town to visit.
Please join me in cosponsoring this resolution.
