Subject: | Francis V. “Angie” McAndrew Memorial Highway |
In the near future, I will introduce legislation designating the portion of State Route 54 in West Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County as the Francis V. “Angie” McAndrew Memorial Highway. Francis V. “Angie” McAndrew, who passed away November 26, 2016, lived a life of service to the Commonwealth and to the residents of Schuylkill County. He was a Schuylkill County Commissioner from 2007 to 2011 and served as Schuylkill County Sheriff for 14 years prior to his election as commissioner. He was also a decorated Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam era, and had a 25-year career with the State Police, serving in numerous roles as Patrol Officer, Statewide Vice and Narcotics Investigator, Corruption Probe Investigator, and Criminal Investigator. He also worked as a detective for the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office. Angie’s legacy is one of genuine care and commitment, especially to the people of Schuylkill County. Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation. |
