Subject: | Farmland Preservation Plate - Former House Bill 555 |
In the near future, I will be re-introducing legislation (formerly HB 555) that would amend Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, to provide for special farmland preservation registration plates. Applicants must submit a fee of $35 for the plate – $15 of which shall be deposited into the Agricultural Conservation Easement Purchase Fund. Moneys in the fund help preserve land in order to ensure that agriculture, Pennsylvania’s number-one industry, remains strong and continues to benefit people in the Commonwealth and all over the world. I appreciate your consideration of this legislation. Previous Cosponsors: Hennessey, Mackenzie, Caltagirone, Conklin, James, Knowles, Freeman, Pashinski, Longietti, A.
