FRITZ, James Madison, a Representative from Luzerne County; born, March 10, 1857 in Orangeville, Columbia County, Pa.; attended, Orangeville Academy; A.B., Lafayette College, 1883; A.M., Lafayette College, 1886; principal, Shickshinny High School; attorney-at-law (1887-1931); counsel, Nanticoke school board; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1890; not a candidate for reelection (1892); died, October 15, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hanover Cemetery, Hanover, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
