KRATZ, Raymond Cohill, a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Germantown, Philadelphia County, Pa., October 12, 1887; attended, Friends School; attended, Brown Preparatory School; studied engineering at Drexel Institute; attended, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; studied chemistry and engineering, Temple University, Wagner Institute and Spring Garden Institute; studied mechanical engineering at Pennsylvania State (University) College; colonel, United States Army (4th Pioneer Infantry and 6th Massachusetts Infantry, American Expeditionary Forces, World War I; Corps of Engineers, 1922-1945, World War II); professional engineer; owner, R.C. Kratz Co., sales and contracting engineers; elected in a Special Election as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, May 21, 1946; Sworn-In, July 9, 1946 to serve the remaining 1945 term; reelected to serve 5 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1956); died, October 13, 1963 in Pennsylvania; interred, Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
