JENKINS, Samuel, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, North Braddock, Allegheny County, Pa. on June 14, 1899; real estate owner; elected, justice of the peace, Monroeville (12 years); elected, tax collector, Monroeville; elected, burgess, Monroeville (1952-1957); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1956; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1958); coal truck owner and operator; employed, Allegheny County board of Property Assessment, Appeal and Review; died, September 19, 1975 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Restland Memorial Cemetery, Monroeville, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
