McGINNIS, John D., a Representative from Blair County; born in Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pa., February 3, 1954; graduated, Bishop Kenrick High School; B.A., University of Notre Dame, 1976; M.S., business administration, Indiana University, South Bend, 1987; Ph.D., finance, The Pennsylvania State University, 1993; Catholic school teacher; administrator, University of Notre Dame; associate professor of finance, The Pennsylvania State University; radio talk-show host, WRTA, Altoona (2006-2012); professor emeritus, The Pennsylvnia State University (2014); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2012, 2014 and 2016; not a candidate for reelection to the House (2018).
