MUNDY, Phyllis, a Representative from Luzerne County; born, January 31, 1948 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, In.; graduated, Kingston High School, 1966; B.S., secondary education and French, Bloomsburg State College (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania), 1970; business manager, Injection Molding Corporation; Luzerne County Board of Elections (1987-1988); president, League of Women Voters, Wilkes-Barre Area; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1991 term; reelected to serve 11 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Pennsylvania Commission for Women (1993-1996); appointed, Keystone Commission on Education for Employment in the 21st Century (2001-2002); appointed, Select Committee Investigating the Integration of Human Rights Standards in Pennsylvania Laws and Policies (2002, 2004); appointed, Speaker's Commission on Legislative Reform (2007); appointed, Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (2011-2014); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2014); member, Transition Team, Pennsylvania Governor-elect Tom Wolf (2014-2015).
