STEIL, David J., a Representative from Bucks County; born in Cold Spring, Stearns County, Mn., March 19, 1942; graduated, St. Boniface High School, 1960; attended, St. John’s University, 1960-1962; attended, University of Minnesota, 1962-1965; graduated, American Management Institute, 1976; president and majority stockholder, MicroTrap Corporation; vice-president, Goodall Rubber Company (1964-1989); vice-president, Environmental Control Group; vice-president, Asbestos Control Technological Inc. (1989-1992); president, Board of Supervisors, Lower Makefield Township Planning Committee; United States Co-Patent and Trademark holder, Fire Breaker ™ System (1991); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1992; reelected to 7 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Keystone Commission on Education for Employment in the 21st Century (2001-2002); appointed, Select Committee on Public Education Funding (2001-2002); appointed, co-chair, Speaker's Commission on Legislative Reform (2007); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2008).
