(1975-1979); elected, board of supervisors, London Grove Township; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1994); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1996 and was reelected to serve 9 more consecutive terms; appointed, Local Government Commission (1997-2016); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2016); adjunct professor, McCourt School of Public Policy, Georgetown University (2017-present).
